Letters to the Editor

(Please note: we will only publish those letters for which we receive permission. You may also request private questions & answers.)

Dear Editor,

Can I suggest a great question for a future survey?

     From: Mandeville neighbor

ED - Absolutely !! Send it to morvant2005@kw.com

Dear Editor,

What's going on with the real estate market in Mandeville? My subdivision is only 2 years old and already my street alone has several homes for resale. Is something wrong that I don't know?

     From: Rgooder@usa.net

ED - No, it sounds like business as usual. Mandeville is the number one choice for transferring employees. And since they often expect to get another transfer within 2-5 years, they may select young, or brand new homes in order to ensure a faster sale when they resell. That sounds like your neighborhood. And your street just has the coincidental timing that several owners working for unrelated employers all got transfers this summer. We've seen 4 houses in a row for sale!!

On the other hand, desirable streets such as Lakeshore Dr. on the lakefront rarely have houses hit the market, because they were likely purchased by owners who intended to stay for a long time. If you want to buy a house like that, you'd better have a savvy Realtor working for you, because it is possible that the house will be sold before the ads are published!

Dear Editor,

Will your publication run dates of special community events, for the schools or the homeowners associations?

     From: Slt187@aol.com

ED - Yes, we invite you to submit any items of interest that affect our Northshore homes & lifestyle. Send them to the realhelp@kw.com
